Career Coach is an interactive, self-paced career guidance system designed to help you explore majors/ careers and provide you with valuable occupational information in order to help you develop your career goals. This assessment can also be helpful if you are a current student and want to explore changing majors or other career fields. The interest assessment is brief and doesn’t take long to complete.

Accessing Career Coach

If it is your first time accessing the website, please “Sign Up” and complete the profile section. If you are a returning user, please “login” using your email and the unique password you created when signing up for the account. To get started please visit https://pennhighlands.emsicc.com/

To optimize your use of Career Coach, be sure to:

Complete the “60 Question” Assessment.
Review your assessment results and spend ample time exploring your “Top Major & Career Matches".
Schedule an appointment with the Career Pathways Specialist to review your results and identify options.

YouScience

This assessment consists of 11 exercises that reveal how you work, think, and understand different types of information and tasks. The assessment is 90-minutes; however, you do not have to complete the entirety in one sitting. You can take a break after any exercise but NOT during the middle. And remember there is no “good” or “bad” performance on aptitudes. The idea is to identify the careers that take advantage of your natural strengths, so just relax and do your best! Try and find a quiet and comfortable place where you won't be distracted and can fully concentrate on the exercises.

***YOU WILL NEED A LAPTOP OR DESKTOP COMPUTER TO COMPLETE THE ASSESSMENT. MOBILE AND TABLET DEVICES ARE NOT SUITABLE. You’ll need a stable, high-speed Internet connection.

After the assessment is completed, your results will be ready in about 12 to 24 hours, you'll receive an email letting you know. To view results, log back into your YouScience account. We invite you to schedule a time to meet with the Career Pathways Specialist.
