Funding your education can be stressful.  The following links are to known resources that provide scholarships to transferring  students.  Note that these scholarships are not sponsored or awarded directly by Penn Highlands.

Always be SAFE when searching for scholarships and BEWARE of spam and phishing schemes. 

  • Review all terms and conditions associated with each organization. 
  • Always look for scholarships through a reliable and trustworthy source.
  • Make sure that you are submitting your information over a secure site.
  • Avoid scholarship applications that require a processing fee.
  • Stay alert for phishing scams! If you receive an email about a scholarship that you did NOT apply for, be cautious and don’t provide any personal information.

Horatio Alger Association

  • Since 1984, Horatio Alger Association Members and Friends have funded need-based college scholarships for low-income youth to pursue their dreams through higher education. By 2023, we anticipate having awarded a total of $245 million in scholarships to more than 35,000 deserving students. Through its many scholarship programs, the Association supports students pursuing career and technical certificates and degrees, bachelor’s degrees, and graduate studies.  To find out more about available scholarships, please click HERE.

Transfer Admissions and Advising Committee

  • TAAC endeavors to support the transfer of Community College graduates that intend to continue their studies at four-year colleges and universities. With that in mind, TAAC would like to provide financial assistance to students who exhibit exemplary scholastic records and civic achievements with the hope that their transfer experience may be made easier with the scholarship funds. The winners of the TAAC Scholarship will be provided with a $500 scholarship towards completion of a bachelor’s degree.

  • Raise Me provides Micro-Scholarships for transfer students. If you don't see a school on the list, "follow" them to let them know you're interested in them offering scholarships!

Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Scholarships

  • PTK offers transfer scholarships to its members. Non-member scholarships are available as well.  Be sure to ask your transfer institution if they offer PTK scholarships; many of them do!
